Introducing the General Coordinator of the 2nd Peruvian Geotechnical Biennial

We are pleased to introduce Samuel Chumacero, an engineering geologist from the National University of Engineering, who will serve as the General Coordinator of this important event. Since joining IAEG Peru in 2023, Samuel has built a strong record in soil and rock mechanics, geotechnical mapping, and laboratory testing, as well as in slope stability assessments and infrastructure projects across diverse regions of Peru.

His professional career combines fieldwork, leadership, and a firm commitment to technical excellence. With his energy, organizational skills, and passion for geotechnics, Samuel will play a key role in ensuring that this second edition becomes a vibrant platform for exchange, learning, and collaboration within the geotechnical community in Peru and across the region.

We thank you in advance Samuel his support and commitment to strengthening this national initiative!
