Recap – V Edition of “Peruvian Women in Geosciences”
On March 15, 2025, IAEG Peru hosted the webinar “Peruvian Women in Geosciences” as part of its special programme commemorating International Women’s Day.
The session brought together a diverse group of women in geosciences, featuring contributions from Camila Castro, Katia Vila, Lucia Lamadrid, and Alexandra Benites Cañote, with moderation by Alina Bedoya Campoverde. The event also ensured accessibility through sign language interpretation by Alexandra Aquima.
The discussion created a space to share experiences, reflect on professional pathways, and highlight the contributions of women in geosciences in Peru. It also fostered dialogue around challenges, opportunities, and the importance of building a more inclusive and collaborative professional community.
This initiative reflects IAEG Peru’s ongoing commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and visibility within the geoscience field.
